Hocking Adds Adjuvant Chemist to Research Staff
March 18, 2019 – Hocking International Laboratories, based in San Marcos, California, has hired Shana Hall- Derrick as a Formulation Chemist overseeing product development and testing in a new Mississippi lab. Derrick’s specialty is formulation of herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides, with a focus on crop applied adjuvants, which supports Hocking’s aggressive growth in agricultural products.
“Adding Shana to the Hocking team shows our commitment to specialty nutrition products for both Ag and T&O,” said Doug Hocking, CEO. “Combining her expertise with our new production facility in Pipestone, Minnesota and major expansion at our Sylacauga, Alabama plant, we’re amplifying research and manufacturing capabilities to deliver more value to our customers.”
Most recently Hall-Derrick worked for Adjuvants Unlimited, focusing on new product development. She has also held positions at Genome Explorations and PMC Biogenix. She studied at the University of North Alabama, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in both Geology and Environmental Biology.
